We are proud to announce that we now carry Tungsten Wedding Bands by Heavy Stone Rings. The name comes from the Swedish words “Tung Sten” meaning Heavy Stone.

Tungsten is the ideal material for a men's or women's wedding band. Tungsten Carbide Rings have unscratchable surfaces and a permanent polish.  They have a unique luster and brilliance that will not fade, giving you a jewel of timeless beauty.

  • Tungsten is the strongest material in the world with a tensile strength of 600,000 pounds per square inch and is considered the hardest and heaviest of all metals.

  • Tungsten also has the highest melting and boiling points of any element on the planet.

  • It melts at an extraordinary 6,100 degrees Fahrenheit–the highest melting point of all metals.

  • Tungsten carbide is four times harder than titanium, twice as hard as steel, 10 times as hard as 18kt Gold and is virtually unscratchable.

  • It has a hardness between 8.5 and 9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.  Diamond is 10 on the Mohs hardness scale.

  • Tungsten carbide can only be scratched or damaged by extreme measures, like abrasion from diamonds or corundum.

  • Tungsten is the only rare and exotic metal that can be permanently polished.   Not surprisingly then, it also has an excellent resistance to corrosion, radiation, and surface damage.

  • A tungsten ring incorporates all of these unique properties into an everlasting symbol of strength and power.

  • They are made with the superior nickel-binder alloy.  Nickel-binder tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic,  chemically inert and therefore will not oxidize, cause rashes, or irritate the skin.

Laser Engraving available, inside OR outside!

They can make black tungsten, tungsten with diamonds, any precious metal inlay including platinum and mokume gane.

Tungsten - Discovered in 1783 and derived from the Swedish words “Tung Sten”, meaning "heavy stone".

Tungsten Wedding Bands by Heavy Stone Rings

Rings come with free lifetime sizing and the best warranty in the industry. Under normal use a Tungsten ring could never be scratched. A great way to prove this is by trying a metal file. Some people are so impressed with Tungsten’s durability they start trying to scratch it to see if there is anything that can. If a Tungsten ring is not abused it will not scratch. Because of the extremely high polish, they may develop microscopic scratches over an extended period of use.  However, they haven’t seen them in any rings yet.  Heavy Stone Rings has been manufacturing Tungsten rings since March 2002.

Available in Classic Styles, Two-Tone, 18kt Yellow or Rose Gold Inlay, Platinum Inlay, Sterling Silver Inlay, Engraved, and many more.
